Religious Procession — Hunter Street, Macquarie Street, College Street, Sydney CBD

Up to 6,000 people are expected to take part in the annual Walk with Christ Religious Procession which will travel from Martin Place to St Mary's Cathedral. Road closures will be in place between 2pm and 4:30pm, while special event clearways will be in effect between 1pm and 4pm

Traffic will be heavy in the city while roads are closed. Motorists should avoid unnecessary travel through the city where possible or allow plenty of extra travel time.

Road closures:

• From 2pm to 4:30pm: Pitt St between Bridge St and Martin Pl.
• From 2:15pm to 4:30pm sections of O'Connell, Bligh, Spring, Castlereagh, Phillip, King, Elizabeth, George and Hunter Streets will close.
• From 2:50pm to 4:30pm sections of College St, Macquarie St, Prince Albert Rd and St James Rd will close.

Special event clearways will be in effect from 1pm until 4pm on sections of College, Hunter, Macquarie and Pitt Streets. Clearways are strict no-parking zones and apply even to local residents and Mobility Scheme Permit Holders. Check signs carefully before parking as vehicles left in clearways will be towed and a fee applies.
