Changed Traffic Conditions — Mount Wilson Road, Mount Wilson

Mount Wilson Road will be closed to general traffic from 7am, 3 April 2026 due to escalating safety risks following recent severe weather. 

Access will be restricted to: 

• Residents of Mount Wilson and Mount Irvine 
• Emergency services 
• Essential workers and services
• Individuals requiring access on urgent compassionate grounds 

Access will be managed through Council’s permit system

• Residents will have access by displaying a printed copy of approved email permit
• If you already have a parking permit, there is no need to do anything – you will receive an email for your permit approval in coming days. Please print and display in your car windscreen or show your email confirmation.
• To apply for a permit, please email us at mtwilsonrestrictedaccess@bmcc.nsw.gov.au or call us on 4780 5000 to apply for a new permit, clearly stating that you are a resident of Mt Wilson/Mt Irvine or you need to gain access.

 At this stage, the road will remain closed until further notice.
